There is no such thing as Wholesale to the public, I claim it on my site over and over, Why because it draws people to my site and people expect to see those words in order to get a deal.
The truth is, I do sell products at below Retail, and just over manufacturers cost. if that is wholesale then so be it.
For example. I list a Digital camera for $59.00 a Sony, or a Cannon, or some other name brand I buy the Camera from the manufacturer for $39.99 and sell it for $59.00 shipping costs are added to the formula( $7.99 ) Total cost to my customer delivered to their door $66.99. If the consumer went to Target, Walmart, even eBay they would expect to pay $99.99 . ( when it’s on sale ) The MSRP is $139.99. All my prices are structured with this formula, You never pay more than 20% more than the manufacturers cost ( my mark up) After all I am in business, I have expenses,overhead ect, but you still save an average of 50 to 80% off msrp ( that without a sale) my everyday low price. True wholesale would be buying direct from the manufacturer and unless you are purchasing thousands of the same item your not going to be able to purchase from the manufacturer.
So when someone says wholesale to the public they are stretching the truth a bit. The truth is in the purchase price.
